Dear Vendor:

The Town of Spindale is making plans for the Spring Foothills Antique & Artisan Show, which will take place the weekend of April 17, 18 and 19, 2008 in downtown Spindale. Festivities will begin on Friday afternoon  at 4:00 p.m. featuring antique vendors and artisans in the Spindale House. Saturday the show will open at  9:00 a.m. and will be held inside the gym of the Spindale House, as well as on the front lawn of the Spindale House.  Artisans are asked to consider demonstrating their crafts to the public and the day will end at 8:00 p.m. with entertainment on Main Street.  The show will conclude on Sunday, with hours being 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  The Spring show will feature a one-day (Saturday) outside vendor area along with entertainment and food vendors. There will be various activities and entertainment throughout the weekend both inside and outside to attract local and non-local attendees. 

Please take a moment to read the following regulations and information pertaining to vendors. 

§     All exhibitors’ fees are non-refundable after March 31, 2008. We will have the  show rain or shine. 

§    All exhibitors are responsible for supplying their own tables, chairs, and tents. 

§    A tent is recommended, but not required. For more information please contact Nicole Dreibelbis (828-286-3466) or Brenda Watson (828-248-1716 (work) or 828-288-4875 (home). 

§    All booths inside the gym will be set up by 3:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday outside booths will be set up by 8:30 a.m. Saturday morning. Please keep in mind the success of the show depends on the presentation of our vendor booths. Therefore, please do not break down your booth prior to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday. For those vendors having a one-day outside booth, breakdown will begin at 7:00 p.m. Saturday evening. 

§   Cars must be removed from Tanner Street by 8:30 a.m. Outside vendors should arrive early (setup is between 7:00 and 8:30 a.m.). Please enter at Tanner Street and Davis Street, then proceed to your booth site to unload your tables and supplies. Once you unload, please remove your vehicle from the show area to the Spindale Elementary School parking lot, or the parking lot behind the Spindale House. The entrance will then be blocked off to keep anyone from entering this way. 

§    No vehicle will be allowed to leave or enter the show area between 8:30 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.  

§    Electricity is provided on a limited basis. Please contact us if you need power and we will try to accommodate you. Food vendors are required to provide their own potable water. 

§    All food exhibitors should contact the Rutherford County Health Department for a temporary food permit. Please call the Health Department at (828) 287-6104 and ask for Susan Robinson. The Foothills Antique & Artisan Show asks that you please contact the Town of Spindale after you speak with the Health Department.  

If the above terms are agreeable, please join us in our celebration of the spring season and return the attached registration sheet and entry fee. Please note that the application to participate in this Spring’s show is due by March  31, 2008.
